Se prendre is a room for apartments in which two artist-acrobats
invite us to watch them meet, from sensitive trial and error to intimate encounters. It is a commonplace story of an encounter between two human beings. The first moments of those who don't know each other. Few words exchanged between these two strangers; here, the encounter is mainly through the body.
Each one apprehends the other's body, first timidly, then in a game where each one in turn tests the other by his supports, examines the solid and most precarious supports, there are the possible possibilities to move together. Affirming its imprint in the flesh.
Sitting on the sofa and the few chairs placed there, we are the voyeurs of an intimacy that is born before our eyes. The tension is palpable in the silence of this small audience of 15 people. The quiet strength of the bodies that rise, support, crush and project themselves. All in turn plated on a wall, upside down against a ceiling. Hanging from a window surround.
We perceive the risk we take when we decide to love ourselves, and that everything can collapse at any moment if we are not very attentive. A reflection is played on the difficulty of attaching oneself without losing oneself. To accept the other without wanting to change him. This balance in constant negotiation between two individuals. It is indeed a delicate and dangerous effort to support yourself without crashing, to move forward together in the same direction rather than pulling the other to oneself.
Energy and intimacy.
